Does iWebcam offer a chat solution for people to add to their website?
Yes. We have do have the option to provide a service for those people wishing to add a chat solution to their website. The solution will allow you to embed a chat room on your website and provide access to the chat network. Your website may also be advertised on the rooms list on the service.

How does my chat room link work?
If you have a registered chat profile we will provide you with a chat room link for your profile. The chat room link will provide people a means to directly access your chat room on the service. It will also provide access chat network access via your room link. If a person enters the chat service through your chat room link, and opts to upgrade their chat profile on the chat network, we will transfer the upgrade credit payment to your chat profile.
How do I see other people in the chat room?
If you are on a mobile device or have made your browser screen smaller you may click the blue circle with two people which is located at the upper right of the chat. Click the cam icon associated with a username to view a broadcast
If your view of the chat service already displays the user list you may click the cam icon associated with a username.
Can you help me start by broadcast?
Click the broadcast button to start a broadcast. Please ensure that you allow access to your camera and microphone.
You can change your broadcast settings in the "Configure" option located at the bottom of the chat. In the "Broadcast Settings" you may select the bandwidth level, camera and microphone. Please note that if you select a bandwidth level higher than your connection ability we will do our best you provide that level but will inevitably only be able to provide the highest level possible for your optimized broadcast connection.
If you have accidentally not allowed the camera or microphone access you may click the lock symbol in the browser url access those settings and allow access.
How do I send a text chat for everyone to see?
Click the "Send a message" option at the bottom of the text chat area and enter text to be sent. Once you have finished typing you may click the send button ( arrow ) at the far right of the text input area. The "+" option in the text input area will allow you to select your text color and send emojis.
How do some people snap their cam views into the chat and others float the cam views?
At the lower right of the chat service you will find a "Configure" option. The "Interface" option will allow to select between "Window" and "Default" modes. Default mode will provide snap the cam views into the chat service and is the start mode for mobile devices. Window mode will allow for floating cams over the chat service and is the start mode for desktop devices.
Do I have to register a chat profile to use the service?
No. We are pleased to offer people the use of the service without the need to register a profile. However, to get the most out of the chat features of the service we would suggest you create a chat profile.
Can I host a chat room?
Yes. We provide you with a chat room link associated to your chat profile. When you are logged into your chat profile room you will be provided with room host tools.
How do I create a chat room without logging in through my chat room link?
Click the three dots at the upper right of the text chat area and select the "Create Room" option.
How do I ignore another chatter on the service?
You may click the "X" at the far right of a text the person has entered in the text chat and/or click their username in the user list and choose the option from the available interaction options.
How do I modify my text chat environment to suit my interests?
Click the three dots at the upper right of the text chat area. You have the ability to change the "Notify Missed", "Bubble Chat", "Emojis" "Font Size" options and also clear your text chat.
How do I navigate to other chat rooms?
At the bottom of the text chat you will find the "Room List" link. Click the link to display the room list and then select a listed chat room to enter the selected room. Alternatively, you may browse directly to a chat profile's room by using the following url: iWebcam.com/the_chat_profile_name.
How do I made a cam view bigger?
If you are using the "Window" mode you may increase the size of the cam view by dragging the lower right corner of the view.
If you are using the "Default" mode then you may select the top of the text area and drag it downward to increase the area of the view. Alternatively you may click the three dots at the upper left of the cam view and make the view full screen or pop out the cam view to "Window" mode. When the cam view is in "Window" mode you may increase the size by dragging the lower right corner of the view.
How do I know if someone is viewing my broadcast?
If a person is viewing your broadcast they will have a glasses icon displayed next to their username in the user list.
How do I log off the chat?
Click the three lines at the upper left of the chat area and select the logout option.
Where do I find "My Account" on the chat service?
Click the three lines at the upper left of the chat area and select the "My Account" option.
How do I close my broadcast?
Click the three dots that are displayed at the upper left of your broadcast window and the select the "x" option to close the broadcast.
How do I also broadcast my microphone with my cam broadcast?
The microphone is turned off by default when you first broadcast. You may turn on the microphone broadcast by clicking the three dots displayed at the upper left of your broadcast and then selecting the microphone option.
